Working with A-listers has become common practice forDavid O. Russell.
AlthoughAmsterdamultimately failed to secure any Oscar nods, Russell is no stranger to recognition from the Academy.

Yet his critical acclaim as a director has been consistently accompanied by troubling allegations.
He has also been accused of multiple instances of verbally or physically abusive behavior on his sets.
Vulture has reached out to representatives for Russell for comment.
