And sorry, Nick, but at this point, theres no way that grand gesture wont involve Benji.

Hes leaving for boarding school in Connecticut in a matter of days.

Mia also has to break the news that shes leaving Creekwood, first to Lake and then to Andrew.

But her conversation with Andrew is devastating.

Basketball is your future, Mia says.

Lets do a quick rundown of the couples heading into Victors awards ceremony, shall we?

Mia and Andrew are done, as are Lake and Lucy.

Victors speech is teen-drama perfection.

Its Benji, though, who gets the longest shout-out.

Im actually impressed by the sheer number of happy endings thatLove, Victorsqueezes into the next 15 minutes.

Finally, theres Lake, who attempts to win Lucy back by offering up her moms part-time condo.

Unfortunately, what worked for Mia and Lake does not work on Benji.

Victor, single and lovestruck, shows up at Benjis house and says he hasnt moved on.

I think your dad is wrong, Victor says.

I dont think Im bad for you.

Have I mentioned that Benjis dad is standingright thereduring this entire interaction?

And that theyre in the middle of packing up the car?

There might be such a thing as too brave.

Benji tells Victor hes too late, and Victor heads to the carnival solo.

I heard all about you, season-one Victor wrote to Simon.

And I just want to say,Screw you.

Screw you for having the worlds most perfect, accepting parents, the worlds most supportive friends.

For some of us, its not that easy.

(Although I will add that Simons experience wasnteasy.

Throughout three seasons,Love, Victorcontinued to challenge and course-correct itself.

More than once, Rahim challenged Victors experiences and beliefs as a straight-passing, masculine gay guy.

Lake and Lucy, as a couple and as individuals, also presented a different experience.

Benji shows up right when Victors about to get on the Ferris wheel alone.

Room for one more?

Thankfully, he gets it.

Simon would be so proud.

Postscript

Felix and Pilar are the one couple whose fate is really left up in the air.

Pilar responds by pulling him into their family photo, a quiet show of forgiveness.

What happens to Victors parents, you ask?

Personally, I would have loved to see this unfold onscreen, but itsfine, I guess.

Not enough Rahim in this finale.
