While the possibility of losing something is a strong motivator, losingeverythingis whats motivating Oliver to solve the mystery.
This explains the tension with Olivers son in the first episode.
It isnt just that hes broke; its that hes broke after taking money from his son.
Charles and Mabel use their subpar interviewing skills to record Howard admitting he is the murderer.
So they watchedThe Jinxand are hoping they can get a Robert Durstpissinginthebathroom confession out of Howard.
Sure!Unfortunately, Charles and Mabel end up with nothing but a dead cats frozen foot.
), but it doesnt work for Charles.
He exists (in a television show)!
She approaches Oscars dad, Mr. Suarez, who does maintenance for the Arconia residents.
Instantly, Mabel realizes shell never get that time in her life back again.
Mr. Suarez slams the door in her face, just like Tim did.
And once again, shes alone in the Arconia.
And one of their four listeners doesnotwant them to find out the truth.
