Major spoilers for the season-one finale ofPretty Little Liars: Original Sinbelow.
Bailee Madison loves to scream.
It also name-dropsCole Sprouse.
Those last 20 minutes of the finale are so intense.
It mirrored how the girls were feeling:Its all or nothing at this point.
I remember freaking out when I read about the scene with A and the fight sequence.
I didnt know what was gonna happen.
You know I love stunts.
I also wanna confirm its notjusta fight scene.
They allowed me to step in for the choreography of the stunts and suggest some things that were Imogen-motivated.
It was very emotional; we filmed that final fight pretty much all day.
By the end of it, the crew was ghost white after hearing us scream and fight.
It wouldve been fun!
Im sure the baby has a few bruises as well, but she did the best that she could.
Throughout the season, she has flashbacks to her mom, especially when shes being chased by the Creeper.
Imogen has so much sympathy and care and love that I dont think she would ever blame.
As heartbreaking as it was, all Imogen wanted to know was the truth.
Her mom was her rock.
That was heartbreaking on Davies end and heartbreaking for Imogen as well.
But that strips away the pain and the isolation Imogen was dealing with when we meet her.
If her mom was there, would she have been too quick to believe her mom?
Would she have searched for justice the way she did?
Weve learned that our moms have a lot to learn, and theyre very, very flawed.
Theres a lot they need to redeem themselves for.
I want to talk aboutPretty Little Liarsand the notorious twin-switch plotline.
This show keeps that tradition alive with Kelly and Karen.
A big part of the show is honoring the tropes but trying to flip them on their head.
I also think Kelly is such an interesting person because there is a Karen inside of her.
She desperately wants to be seen and has never been seen.
That sets up so many possibilities moving forward rather than having Karen there.
Were there plot twists you didnt see coming?So many.
Obviously, theres A did you guess correctly who it was?I did.
I had a gut instinct.
And he was like, No, Im not.
And I was like, You are.
And he goes, I mean, thatd be a big role for me.
It was so sweet.
He was like,This would be really exciting.I had no clue who the masked Creeper was.
I still didnt know even with all the hints.
How long did it take you to nail theScream Queensscream?I dont know if its aScreamQueensscream!
I was scared …I think theres different levels.
I love the scream when she sees her mom in the dream sequence.
This scream is gonna propel me to go and release everything onto you.I love screaming.
You mentioned watching the original show.
Was there a pressure to imitate those liars?I dont think so.
Obviously there was a pressure to yo the OG fans.
I am an OG fan.
When those scenes came up, it was bigger than just filming and completing a scene that day.
We were dealing with something that really mattered.
The scene in which Imogen and Tabby confront Chip is one of the climaxes of the finale.
What was it like to film that?It was exhausting, to be honest.
My back gave out during that scene.
I was in extreme rib pain because the pregnancy stomach messed up my ribs.
It was so funny.
I was pretending I could walk the whole time filming.
But that scene meant a lot.
I was having this moment of being really pissed at Chip.
That is sick and twisted.
Was there a favorite one you had?
I was in the dress soaking wet, but I live for that stuff.
That makes me so happy.
In the Orpheum scene after confronting Chip, did you feel that Archie showed a bit of compassion?
Or was it more,This isnt Imogens time to die yet?Both.
In that moment, Imogen plays a mind game and knows quickly to do so.
I think Archie knows the plan is coming.
He is also listening to orders from someone.
He might act compulsively at times, but he knows not to touch them until hes supposed to.
People unfortunately disappear all the time.
I want to also ask you about the Rosewood-Riverdale-Millwood multiverse crossover.
I wasnt surprised because I know our show isnt going whereRiverdaleis.
Its really fun as creators to get to nod to something you work on and youre passionate about.
So is Chip dead?I dont think so.
I dont know why I dont think so, but I dont think so.
Or if he is dead, its going to set the girls up for something.
It has to mean something more if thats gonna happen.
