Theyve been training for this moment since day one!

Did this series meander at times and give us story lines that no one asked for or wanted?
Oh God, yes.
Did we really need to learn aboutthe creator of FaceTime tech?
Orthat John Legend concert?
But still could you imagine what a show likeThis Is Uswould be without knowing its expiration date?
Its a treasure trove for those whove been paying attention during their weekly cry.
Thats called growth, baby.
Whats the vehicle for all this remembering?
That, of course, is all in Rebeccas head as she slowly lets go.
Stop watching the show now?
Seeing Randalls face when he finds out hes going to be a grandfather really soothed my weary soul.
If ever a man was meant to be a grandfather, its Randall Pearson.
(reader, I rolled my eyes, it felt right) throughline.
Randall holds her hand and tells her, you tell him hey, talking about Rebecca reuniting with Jack.
At that moment, Randall feels Rebecca squeeze his hand a little.
Its all as sad as youd expect it to be.
So whats happening on Rebeccas imaginary train throughout all of this?
Its a real Rebecca Pearson, This Is Your Life sort of situation.
Her guide through this train?
Oh, friends: Its William.
Did you not miss Williams warm and calming presence?
If I were Rebecca and I needed someone to guide me toward death, Id choose William too.
The guy recites a Dudley Randall poem for her.
He puts on his hat.
At one point, she sees the three versions of Kevin and Randall all hanging out with each other.
It is trippy and also awesome.
Adult Randall doing push-ups withLittle Randall on his back?!
Someone hold me!!
William walks her through the train.
Rebecca hears more people talking to her over the loudspeaker and sees versions of them sitting nearby.
Dr. K is there in the bar car, fixing up drinks while holding a Terrible Towel.
Yes, there is a bowl of lemons there. How could there not be?
Shes worried she made mistakes, but Dr. K assures her that theres no perfect games in parenting.
What a big, messy, gigantic, spectacular thing.
Miguel is waiting for her in another car.
Hes sipping wine and tells her shes his favorite person very Miguel of him.
When she finally hears Kates voice over the loudspeaker, shes ready to move forward, to move on.
She remarks on how sad it all is, the end.
Does anyone want to relive this moment in Pearson history?
No, but Dule Hill is there, so its a little better.
Now, who do you think Dule Hill runs into when hes getting coffee in that hospital?
Hes covered in soot and his hands are bandaged up.
Its the night of the fire.
The guy has maybe a few hours to live, and he doesnt know it yet.
Jack works his way into that lemons-into-lemonade speech.
Leave it to Jack Pearson to make his final act a cheesy, heartfelt speech.
Damn, this man!
I love him so much!
Jack dies and Marcus lives.
Marcus goes on to, get this, develop drugs that help Alzheimers patients.
I know you might want to roll your eyes, but come on, the Super Bowl, remember?
They are going for it.
This is it, and they are laying it on thick.
Hey, she says, smiling at him.
Hey, he replies.
Hey, I repeat over and over again as I lay in the fetal position on my floor.
One more episode to go, my babies!
Id remind you to bring the tissues, but come on, were professionals at this point.
