But there are always some unexpected decisions that keep things at least somewhat fluid.
In recent ceremonies, though, theyve mixed it up a bit.
I would not be surprised to see any of those three win come Monday.

That series, while diverting in its way, should not be nominated in this category.

Fortunately, I dont thinkInventing Annawill win.
This one comes down toDopesickorThe White Lotus, or possiblyThe Dropoutas a spoiler.
Will Win:The White Lotus.
Should Win:The White Lotus.
Hard to conceive of it not winning again.
Will Win:Saturday Night Live.

And they still basically pulled it off.
I feel confident it will do so for a fifth.
Will Win:RuPauls Drag Race.
Should Win:Lizzos Watch Out for the Big Girls we need some novelty in this category!
What if there were somehow a tie and Martin and Shortbothwon?
Unlikely, but that would be fun to see!
Will Win:Jason Sudeikis.
Again, I am betting on the Emmy communitys love forTed Lasso.
Will Win:Jean Smart.
But I doubt it will happen.
Conventional wisdom suggests one of theSuccessionmen will win, possibly Brian Cox since Jeremy Strong won two years ago.
But Strong didhis most devastating workin season three ofSuccession, so I would not count him out.
unless people plan to reserve their appreciation until next year, whenSaulwill compete for the last time.
So whos going to take the trophy?
I can truly see this happening inside my brain.
Should Win:Give Bob Odenkirk that Emmy, he cheated death!
As the most consistently great part ofOzark, she is deserving.
And then theres Zendaya, who won this award two years ago.
It may very well have.
Unless one of those other two ladies or a surprise upset says otherwise.
Keaton also does not have an Emmy, and this provides the perfect opportunity to finally give him one.

Should Win:Keaton or Himesh Patel, who was note-perfect inStation Eleven.
Will Win:Amanda Seyfried.

So heres what Im thinking:
Will Win:Henry Winkler.
Should Win:Anthony Carrigan.
Listen, I have no problem with Winkler winning this award.
Give him every trophy, every fish in the sea, everything he wants and more he deserves it.
Hannah Waddingham, who won last year, could do it again.
And if Im right, I look forward to hearing her acceptance speech.

Should Win:Once again, Janelle James.
Of theSuccessiontrio, Macfadyen and Culkin had the most dramatic material to play with this season.
Which is completely valid.
But in my eyes, Culkin was the MVP of the season.
Do I need to make you re-watch the spectrum of emotions that play out on Culkins face inthis scene?
Will Win:I still think the voters will go with Matthew MacFadyen.
Should Win:But they should go with Kieran Culkin.

I believe voters wont be able toresist this.

But I think the complexity and immediacy of the action sequences in 710N give it the edge.
Ben Stiller dida phenomenal jobof threading various storyline threads through a single needle in this finale.
If it doesnt win,Squid Games first episode, Red Light, Green Light certainly will.
Should Win:Severance, The We We Are.
Oh, I did mention that, just now?
Should Win:The White Lotus, or Hiro Murais beautiful first episode ofStation Eleven.
Im leaning towardOnly Murders, but I really think this could go either way.

Im hesitant to call anything a lock, but this might be a lock?
