So, as ever, its a tricky year to be predicting the Grammys.
; seven for Eilish and Rodrigo; and a whole bunch of curveballs down the ballot.
But weve waited more than long enough lets get to it.

Would they give Eilish a third trophy in a row, for the massive Happier Than Ever?
Personally, Im pulling for Kiss Me More, a song still stuck in my head a year later.

But this category could also get messy.
Bennett won a past-his-prime AOTY in 1995 forMTV Unplugged, an award perceived as a sort of lifetime-achievement nod.
He seems to have better odds forWe Arethan Freedom in ROTY, which didnt receive any corresponding genre-category nominations.
Again, though, Im reminding you ofDoja Cat, who one-upped herself after 2020sHot PinkwithPlanet Her.

Meanwhile, Anderson .Paak continues to earn trophies from both the rap and R&B fields.
If she doesnt win, the Grammys really are broken.
Make that a 21st Grammy.
I think that was a fluke, owing to Lipas strength among pop voters and Swifts across-the-board pull onfolklore.
Expect this to be a bellwether of AOTY and of a Rodrigo sweep.
ItsDeftones, who are at least interesting.
Not only is Weezer here in 2022, its nearly impossible to discern anything thatshouldwin.
Look here to foretell whether Silk Sonic or H.E.R.
has more momentum going into the Big Four categories.
Im picking Silk Sonic because two is better than one.
